Commercial Drivers

Due to recent changes in Florida law, drivers who possess a commercial license(A, B, or C) are no longer able to elect traffic school for their moving violation citation. If you pay the citation without electing a court hearing, you will receive points on your license. If you have received a moving violation we may be able to keep the points off. Based upon the facts of your case and your driving record, we can file a plea of not guilty for you and go to court on your behalf. Normally your appearance is not required pursuant to the Florida Rules of Traffic Court. We will go to Court for you and make sure that the officer can prove his case beyond a reasonable doubt. We will make sure that all of their paperwork is up to date and equipment properly calibrated. On accident cases we will speak to the witnesses and make sure they can prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. We will also deal directly with the Court, and explain to the Judge that you have a commercial license. The Judges are very familiar with the plight of commercial drivers. In most situations we will be able to negotiate a withhold of adjudication (no points) so that you don’t end up with points on your license. Call our office so we can discuss your case.
