Martin County Florida is located on Florida's East Coast above Palm Beach County.  The primary law enforcement agency is the Martin County Sheriffs Office.  There was approximately 21,000 citations written last year for criminal and moving violations.  The Martin County Sheriffs Office is assisted by the Florida Highway Patrol as well as several local law enforcement agencies.

The other law enforcement agencies within the county include Jupiter Island, Seawalls Point, and Stuart.  Along with the Martin County Sheriffs Office, these agencies are responsible for law enforcement and traffic enforcement.  

Martin County is part of Florida's 19th Judicial Circuit.  Aside from Martin county, Indian River, Saint Lucie and Okeechobee counties make up the Judicial Circuit.
