Hillsborough County Florida is located on the west coast of Florida. With a population of approximately one million, Hillsborough county is one of the fastest growing counties in the state of Florida. The Tampa police department is the largest municipal law enforcement agency in the county. Other cities with Hillsborough County have police departments, including Temple Terrace and Plant City.
The Hillsborough County Sheriffs office is a very proactice agency. The are the primary law enforcement agency in the county. They have various specialized units, including traffic, DUI, SWAT, and detention. The DUI unit is referred to as operation 3D. The entire units primary mission is to enforce Florida's DUI laws. They are constantly setting up DUI checkpoints and partaking in saturation patrols throughout the county. Aside from the Florida Highway Patrol, the Hillsborough County Sheriffs office issues tickets for unlawful speed, violation of a traffic control devices, careless driving, reckless driving, driving under the influence.
