Hardee County Florida is located in west central Florida. The county was named after former Florida Governor Cary Hardee. With a population of almost 30,000, Hardee County is primarily patrolled by the Hardee County Sheriffs Office. Aside from the sheriffs office the Florida Highway Patrol enforces traffic safety and troopers enforce the area from the Desoto County or Arcadia barracks.
Hardee County Florida is part of Florida's 10th judicial circuit, which includes Polk, Hardee and Highlands County. The Hardee County courthouse is located in Wauchula. The Hardee County Sheriffs Office, Wauchula Police Department and the Florida Highway Patrol are the main law enforcement agencies in the county.
